May 2008 Comments made by Monsieur Pierre Groger (Clos ¾ et Fédération Culturelle des Vins de France) during a tasting for Trevallon's 2005 red. Ruby colour with violet tints, the nose offers up a delicate aroma of blackberries and wild strawberries. After some aeration, you get more spicy notes of Provence herbs, licorice and roasted coffee. On the palate, the wine's freshness is noticeable. It is richly textured and, for the time being, the tannins are tightly wound. Its full bodied and classy finish makes for a very promising future.
