Harvests report
Magnificent year. 3 weeks of the Mistral wind in August meant more concentrated grapes. The red was harvested on September 16th.
Dated commentary
September 2009
You are taken aback by this powerfully structured wine, wrapped in tannins with a herb like fragrance, with a finish reminiscent of truffles and the 'garrigue'.

Fine Colour, complex nose redolent of garrigue, fruit concentration very evident, lovely texture and notable lenght. Eminently drinkable now but has years ahead of it. Lovely wine.
December 2003
The 2001 red was bottled in December 2003, after clarifying briefly with egg white. It's probably the greatest vintage since 1983, offering up an intense nose of blackberry, bilberry and warm garrigue. A beautifully fresh minty, spicy finish.
