Winemaking notes The 2008 vintage has resulted in a fantastic wine. The nose shows violets, forest berries and dark chocolate. Ripe, concentrated fruits with a fine tannin structure run the length of a seamless palate, a great back up to the now famous Jimmy Watson 2007 winner. 12 months maturation in a mixture of new and older French oak barrels has softened the tannins and given wonderful structure. Alcohol content 14.5%
Tasting notes Violets and leafy cassis with dark chocolate and cedar. Classic Cabernet Sauvignon structure and lovely juicy dark fruits are the hallmark of the Flametree Cabernet Merlot style. Cellaring Drinking beautifully and will age gracefully over the next 5 – 8 years.
