Primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with 15% Cab Franc and 11% Merlot, this luscious Meritage wine is made with grapes that grow on the eastern side of Sonoma Valley in the red volcanic soils of Rancho Salina Vineyard. The varietal components are fermented separately, then blended and transferred to French oak barrels for nearly two years of aging. The finished wine is elegant and voluptuously textured, with a pretty perfumed nose and tangy red-raspberry/ black currant flavors ending with a tinge of earthy minerality. Just what you look for in a good Meritage.
