Kevin K Tang

Seasoned wine professional and qualified wine educator Kevin K Tang is lead wine lecturer to various local universities and a museum. An Academic Adviser and External Examiner to various education boards, he holds the Diploma in Wine and Spirits from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust in the UK , a Teaching Certificate, a Masters in Comparative History(Europe concentration), and did a Post-Graduate Research Studies in Management Theories.

Member to the Institute of Wine and Spirits(UK), the Canadian and UK Circles of Wine Writers, Federation Internationale Journalistes Ecritvains des Vin and Spirteux, the Hong Kong Wine Society and the Hong Kong Institute of Marketing, Kevin is a a sought-after commentator on wines and wine education in the region.

Final year student of the Masters of Wine programme of the UK and an accredited tutor of Bureau Internprofessional des Vins deBourgogne, Kevin had researched for the WSET (UK) on the relationship between decanting and perceived wine quality in Hong Kong consumers.  His specialization in wines is mid-range Bordeaux and high-end Burgundies.

Outside wine, his main interest is classical guitar music from Baroque to Modern, playing works from Bach to Brouwer. He had played professionally in Vieux Montreal, Quebec.

Kevin is proud of his East-meets-West heritage. Born and raised in Hong Kong,

he had lived and worked in Montreal, Toronto, New York on wine, spirit, liquor and liquor packaging.
